Settling Fireplace Repair - Portland, OR
The fireplace of this home in Portland had begun to settle at the base, causing the firebox floor to sink and crack. As shown in the photos, we carefully removed the affected brickwork to access the unstable area beneath the firebox. After installing proper structural support to stabilize the base, we rebuilt the firebox floor and closed the opening with new matching brick. The result is a safe, stable, and visually seamless repair that restores both function and appearance.
Fireplace Base Stabilization - Salem, OR
This was another Oregon home where the fireplace that had begun settling at the base, leading to a sagging and unstable firebox floor. As shown in the photos, we removed the loose and damaged bricks to expose the compromised area beneath. We then installed solid structural support under the firebox to ensure long-term stability and safety. Finally, we rebuilt and sealed the area with brickwork that blends seamlessly with the original structure.
Tuckpointing & Waterproofing - Portland, OR
For this project, the home’s brickwork was fully tuckpointed, cleaned, and waterproofed to restore both appearance and durability. We began by carefully grinding out all deteriorated mortar joints, then refilled them with fresh mortar matched precisely to the original in color and profile — a crucial step for maintaining the historical look of the structure. After tuckpointing was complete, the entire area was thoroughly cleaned and treated with a waterproofing solution to protect against future moisture damage while preserving the brick’s natural character.
Decorative Wall with Planter - Camas, WA
These homeowners in Camas wanted to enhance the curb appeal of their front yard with a larger, more functional planter box. Their original planter was too small and lacked visual impact, so we designed and built a custom decorative wall that blends form and function. Constructed from sturdy cinder blocks, the structure was capped with brick for a clean finish and coated with stucco to match the home’s exterior. The result is a stylish and durable planter that now displays potted plants and seasonal decor — a simple upgrade that made a big impression. The homeowners were thrilled with the final outcome.
