Fireplaces & Thermocrete

We are the ONLY authorized installer of Thermocrete ceramic flue sealant in the Pacific Northwest! No one else is certified to use this product in Oregon or Washington.

Thermocrete is proud to announce its release of its revolutionary spray process Ceramic Flue Sealant for repairing deteriorated, damaged and sub-par chimneys. We believe the CFS system is of great importance to insurance adjusters and claims people because, for the first time, it is now possible to repair fire-damaged chimney liner tiles without removing the tiles or putting in a whole new liner system. This will often mean full restoration of an existing cracked tile liner for far less than the cost of total relining.

Nearly twenty five years ago, after many years of research, ThermoCrete in Great Britain successfully developed a durable, bondable sealant and a workable means of delivered CFS to chimney walls. After much success throughout Europe, this product was made available in the USA in 1998.

Product information: CFS is an alumina-silica based castable refractory tested, listed and labeled by Warnock Hersey/Intertek Testing Services(#J99001572-231). CFS is produced to B.S 4207 and tested by the Ceramics Institute Ceramic Research (NAMAS) to B.S 1902. As the only true ceramic for chimney repair, CFS is tested 3000 degree F. It is also highly acid-resistant and totally impermeable to moisture penetration. It is five times harder than various cast-in-place or piped masonry liners, and it delays the rate of thermal shock-related cracking or re-cracking in both new and repaired clay flue tile by a factor of at least three! It has an international patent, accepted in 82 countries and meets the stringent ISO 9002 international quality assurance standards.

A growing network of dealers from coast to coast are being equipped and trained for the CFS installation process.
